About me

Machteld De Groef, a thirty-something based in Bruges 🇧🇪.

I used to call myself freelance UX Designer, but that increasingly felt too narrow. For I am large, I contain multitudes. So to hell with presenting myself as a UX specialist. I specialize in being a generalist.

So specifically, in general, this is what I do:

• parent two tiny humans
• lecture applied computer science (web development) at HOWEST
• help build user-friendly, performant, sustainable digital products through research, design, facilitation
• documentary photography as DEfotoGROEF (site coming)
• guide tours & facilitate sound workshops at Concertgebouw
• training to be an official Bruges city guide
• play accordion & guitar
